Social Security Administration

$1 billion to assist the Social Security Administration (SSA) in the processing of a growing backlog of Social Security Disability Insurance (“SSDI”) claims.Of the funding, $500 million is designated for a replacement of the SSA National ComputerCenter (NCC). Another $500 million is provided for processing disability and retirement workloads. The conference agreement also includes $2 million for the SSA Inspector General to provide oversight and audit of the implementation of these funds.
